The number of art galleries and cultural centers in Bangkok is increqsing every year. The most important is the National Art Gallery which has an extensive collection of Thai art.

Located at the foot of Phra Pinklao bridge, the gallery displays modern Thai and international arts. The National Art Gallery is sometimes used for art exhibitions from other parts of Asia too.

Numerous private art galleries can be found all over Bangkok and in provinces where art works are also up for sale. Some of the Bangkok galleries are listed below:

Located on the 3rd Floor of Building Nr.9 on the University Campus. Contemporary art and design by Thailand and international artists.

GaneshArt Gallery
Founded 1999, sepcializes in contemporary Thai painting.

Project 304
Non-profit art space founded in 1996 to support contemporary artistic and cultural activities through art exhibitions, as well as media (incl. film and video), publications, and events.

Rotunda Gallery
Gallery was originally the entrance hall of the Neilson Hays Library. Contemporary art from Thailand and international exhibitions.

Silpakorn University
Established as an art school, it attained university status in 1943. Today it offers instruction in all major fields of art and design, science and technology, health science, social sciences and humanities. Among the university's facilities is an Art Centre for exhibitions of contemporary art.

Tadu Contemporary Art
Privately funded, non-commercial art center opened in 1996 by artists and collectors.

Thavibu Gallery
Contemporary art from Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar, with an emphasis on the promotion of young artists.
